Encouragement: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: ...and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. [Isaiah 9: 6]
Pray for:
- Safety on all our South African roads, especially for all those travelling to and from our area by any means of transport this summer. [Psalm 91:9-16]
- Peace in our land over the Christmas Season and a phenomenal decrease in Gender-Based Violence (GBV), for the women to not fear but stand firm and trust God, and for the perpetrators - many of them having been abused themselves - to seek help from the Church and medical field. [2 Timothy 1: 7]
- Praise God for the very fruitful year spiritually and for the thousands of NMB people who recently came to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ, pray for them to really be filled with joy this first true Christmas Season for them, and pray for them to be freed from all types of addictions like alcoholism, drug addiction, pornography, etc. [John 8: 32 and 36]
- A great spiritual awakening among our NMB young people this summer.
[Isaiah 60 and 62]
- Our pastors to be strengthened - body, soul and spirit - encouraged, and 'set on fire' for the Lord Jesus Christ and then to stir up their congregations to serve the Lord in the power of the Spirit and to teach the congregation the pure Word of God and how to endure hardship like a good soldier. [2 Timothy 2: 3]
- The Gospel to be preached throughout the Bay with signs, wonders and miracles following. [Mark 16: 15-19]
- Gangsters not to fear, but to leave their 'gangsterism' and to turn to Christ. [John 3: 16-18]
- Criminality to decrease noticeably in the Bay; no robbery or bad incident or accident to happen on any of our beaches or in our shopping malls during the Christmas Holidays. [Isaiah 60: 18]
- Our church services to be full to overflowing during this coming holiday period and for many people to come to salvation in these gatherings. [2 Timothy 4: 2]
- Unity and godly love: in families, in congregations, and in the Body of Christ - for where there is unity, God commands His blessing. [Psalm 133]
Remember the promise:
... pray to the Lord for the city because if it prospers, you will prosper. [Jeremiah 29:7]
