We are all expected to be ultra-performers!
Ultra (adj): On the far side. Extreme. Radical. Dramatic.

The word “extreme” is often associated with negative connotations. When we hear of
terrorists in the media, it is often accompanied by the phrase “extremists”.

We talk about extreme right-wingers and extreme sports.

This word is nearly always marked by an unspoken suggestion that whatever it accompanies is bad.

It suggests that being and having too much is inherently a bad thing.

But when we look at every great man and woman who has made their mark in the world, we see that they have one thing in common. They are extremists.

The likes of Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr, Serena Williams, Ronaldo, Merci, Steve Jobs.

History records their names amongst the greats because they were and are ultra -performers.

Much like many of the prophets and leaders in the Bible, the world today is littered with examples of ultra -performers.

These are ordinary people who are set apart simply by listening to God, and in their attitude in executing His will.

Each one of us has been gifted with the grace to live an abundant life, to be fruitful and experience overflow in all our endeavours. But, there is an art to it.

The art of being exceptional.
This is the call.
God is charging us to perform at a new level.

He is calling for believers to be exceptional, on the cutting edge, very devoted, extreme performers who will radically walk in the spirit and be at forefront of innovation, invention and industry – in a word, “ultra-performers”.

The ability and potential for greatness is in all of us.

Ask yourself what level of performance you are operating at in your school, department, organisation or family.

Most modern luxury cars come with different performance levels.

Just as the output of the car is dependent on the mode engaged by the driver, our output is dependent on the level at which we choose to perform.

Sadly, most people live out their lives stuck in economy mode or choose comfort when we are called to sport and sport+ mode.

Now more than ever, our communities, our cities and indeed our nation at large, are in need of people who will take their foot off the brake and dare to shift into extreme mode.

You are a world changer but as long as you choose to keep your dial turned to economy, the systems of the world will continue to destroy the nuclear family.

It will continue to dumb down our kids to 20 percenters and we will continue seeking knowledge from those who appropriated it from us.

While we live content with mediocrity, useless squabbles, gossip and nonsensical debates, the world is moving at lighting speed and the rot is seeping into our homes.

The world keeps turning the dial towards wickedness, so we cannot afford to keep idling or cruising slowly.

There is a purpose for our lives.

We are alive and called for such a time as this. It will take ultra-performers to turn this world upside down.

It will take men and woman who, like Jabez, will interrupt the narrative and status quo.

People who will look at their situation and the situation of others in the community, and desire more.

Christians are called to be those who tackle societal ills, rampant inequality, economic depression, overburdened healthcare systems, and moral degeneration.

Instead of being bound by these things of the world, we are called to action.

It is time to live a maximised life.

Let the very thing that seeks to limit your borders be the thing that stirs up the desire for a remarkable life. Refuse the ordinary!

Strive for a life of impact.

History is poised to decide your place amongst the all-time greats.

So, go out there, do your best in your field, earn your stripes, ultra-perform and let the fruits of your work do the talking.
