Encouragement: For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ...that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man. Ephesians 3: 14 & 16

Pray for:
  1. Personal: Preparing my heart for revival
    Jeremiah 24: 7; Ezekiel 36:26

      a.  Pray for God in His power and might to set our hearts on fire for Him. "And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favour until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power"... Ephesians 3:16 -The Passion Translation (TPT).

      b.  We also have a responsibility to set our hearts on Him with an expectant longing that He will touch and change us, as we read His Word and call on Him in prayer. 2 Corinthians 3: 18.

  2. A stronger unity-of-purpose-and-relationship in the NMB Church:
    Ephesians 4: 1- 6; John 13: 34 - 35; Psalm 133.
Among all our Church Leaders; Congregations; Christian Organizations; Youth Leaders; the various Student Christian Groups on all our School, College and University Campuses; and within the different Congregations in NMB.

  3. The uprooting of corruption in South Africa: for Government, Business and Church to instil in all their employees and all the people relating to them to be 'unashamedly ethical' in all their dealings. Psalm 119: 9-11; Luke 12: 2 & 3

  4. Peace in our Land and in every sector of our society: for people to put 'the good of the country' ahead of their own ambitions; and for harmony among the people of our Nation; and violence to cease Jeremiah 29: 7; Psalm 133; Isaiah 60: 17 - 18.

  5. The Alleviation of Poverty; an Improved Economy in the Bay; and Employment for the Unemployed: Poverty and unemployment are two of the main concerns in South Africa right now. We cannot turn a blind eye concerning this problem. As the Church, we need to ask the Lord to help us change the Nation. Pray for Christians to be involved in large and small projects to help the poor and to create work. Pray for the laws and policies that keep systemic poverty intact to be changed. Many times poverty is caused by laws that exploit the poor and drive the needy back into hopelessness and humiliation. Matthew 6: 25 - 34

  6. Praise God for the rain that has fallen in the catchment area of NMB: Continue to pray for rain to fall in the catchment areas of both NMB & Cape Town James 5 17- 18

  7. For Christian Media: for all NMB Christian Media especially, Gateway News; PE Churchnet; Kingfisher FM and PEFM Radio Stations: Pray for God's blessing and favour upon all these organizations and their staff; for their influence and reach to increase; and for financial, spiritual & prayer support; for their vision to connect and encourage the Body of Christ in NMB in greater measure, to be fulfilled; for greater church participation; for creative ideas; and the anointing of God's Spirit upon all their programs and projects. Psalm 68:11

Remember the promise:
... pray to the Lord for (the city) because if it prospers, you will prosper.  Jeremiah 29:7
