One Hour TIME SLOT Guide:

0-5:  PRAISE & WORSHIP:
Focus all attention on God; praise Him and worship Him for all His magnificent qualities and deeds (e.g. Ps. 145-150)

5-10:  REPENT, FORGIVENESS & RECONCILIATION:
Your personal preparation to stand before the one true living, holy God as an intercessor. Recognize that it is only through the shed Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ that you gain entrance (Hebrews 9: 22; 4:16; Ephesians 2: 8 & 9; John 14:6)

10-15:  PRAY FOR YOUR PERSONAL REVIVAL, AND THE SPIRITUAL AWAKENING OF YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR OWN CONGREGATION:

15-20:  LISTEN TO GOD: Meditate on Scripture e.g. the Book of Acts:
What is He saying to you about yourself, your congregation, Nelson Mandela Bay and South Africa? Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you as you pray.

20-25:  PRAY FOR LEADERS AND ALL IN AUTHORITY:
The Church (Hebrews 13: 7 & 17); in Government (Romans 13: 1- 7); Political Leaders; Business; Education; NMB and SA - that they may have wisdom; be righteous; just and self controlled; seek the good of the community & peace.

25-35:  PRAY FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE:
For righteousness to prevail in our Land; for the hungry, thirsty, in need of clothes, prisoners, ill, widows, orphans, strangers, those treated unjustly in any way; Plead the case of thousands of children being aborted without cause in SA each year (Isaiah 58: 6-12; Psalm 139; Gen. 4:10).

35-45:  FOR THE SALVATION OF 5 LOST PEOPLE THAT YOU KNOW:
Pray for future and current workers in the harvest far and near (Luke 10:2). Pray for the salvation of the lost in NMB & SA.

  • CALL TO PRAYER - SPECIAL SYNOD OF THE DRC: 7-10 NOVEMBER 2016 (2016-11-04)
    A special Synod of the Dutch Reformed Church will be held from 7-10 November to reconsider a decision taken by the General Synod on same-sex relationships and same-sex marriages in 2015. Since this decision, many experienced a great deal of confusion, unhappiness, disappointment and even anger. This extraordinary meeting of the General Synod will take place in Pretoria next week. It will have significant consequences for the broader Afrikaans church, but also the church in general in our country. We urge you to unite in prayer around this very important meeting.     When Christian leaders, clergy and people from many denominations and fellowships come together for an appointment with God, He pours His Spirit upon their worship and intercession. This was the awesome reality of what took place in the NMMU Goldfield’s Auditorium on Sunday night 23 October as students, concerned Christians and their leaders worshipped together and interceded for God to come into, and take control of, the unrest in the universities in our land.   View Report

    South Africa's history is filled with incidents where grievances were settled by violence, revolution, riots and strikes.
